Mick Abae, M.D. FA.C.O.G.
Medical and Practice Director
Dr. Mick Abaé is a Board-Certified Reproductive Endocrinologist who completed medical school at New York Medical College, followed by residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at St. Vincent’s Hospital, NY, and a three-year fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of Vermont.
After spending 2 years as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of Miami School of Medicine, he left in 1993 to create the Center for Advance Reproductive Endocrinology (CARE) in Plantation, and to establish the standard for personalized patient care in the South Florida infertility community. In August 1998, he founded the Laboratory for Implantation, Fertilization, & Embryology (L.I.F.E.) in order to provide the highest quality of Andrology & Embryology services to his patients.
Dr. Abaé is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), and the Florida Society of Reproductive Endocrinologists. He has continued to maintain an active research program in areas such as endometriosis, laparoscopic surgery, in vitro fertilization and male factor infertility. On several occasions, he has been selected to present the results of this work at the annual conferences of the ASRM, ESHRE, and the International Endometriosis Society, among others. Dr. Abaé remains committed to providing his patients with the latest developments in clinical and laboratory services in a caring and compassionate environment.

Harold F. Rodriguez, Ph.D., H.C.L.D., E.L.D.
Director of ART Laboratory
Dr. Harold Rodriguez is a graduate of Louisiana State University and Texas A&M University, where he received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Reproductive Physiology and Embryology. He is board certified as a High Complexity Laboratory Director (American Board of Bioanalysis), with specialties in Human Clinical Andrology and Embryology. As Director of the Assisted Reproductive Technology Laboratory, Dr. Rodriguez oversees and is directly involved with the functioning of our Andrology and In Vitro Fertilization Laboratories. He brings well over 12 years of hands on technical experience and scientific knowledge in the field Andrology and assisted reproduction.
Dr. Rodriguez is a laboratory inspector for the Reproductive Laboratory Accreditation Program (RELAP) offered by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), one of the major accreditation bodies for Assisted Reproduction Laboratories in the United States. On several occasions he has developed and presented the results of clinical trials at the annual meeting of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), an entity of which he is also an active member. He is fluent in English and Spanish and is also a member of the International Embryo Transfer Society, the College of Reproductive Biology (CRB), and the American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB).
