Every
year the Centers for Disease Control (www.cdc.gov)
publish a general summary of national success rates
for all clinics registered in the US. We encourage
all patients to visit the site as it provides good
information on outcomes. This information however,
it's not without limitations as it does not provide
the number of complex cases with lower than average
prognosis that a particular program may be treating.
Unlike many other fertility clinics, our
center does not pre-select patients based on clinical
parameters,
which are known to be associated with higher prognosis
and pregnancy rates. Many patients who have lower
than average success rates are either not accepted,
or cancelled during treatment at other centers. We
treat a large proportion of patients with at least
one previously failed cycle, diminished ovarian reserve
as determined by female age, elevated FSH levels,
and/or reduced antral follicle counts. We are proud
to report our above national average success rates
for 289 treatment cycles (Period: 2002 to 2004) in
which more than two thirds of patients presented
with such complex infertility problems. Additionally,
we treated a large number of severe male infertility
cases associated with azoospermia (absence of sperm
in semen), balanced chromosomal translocations, and
other genetic-related male fertility problems.

With every couple, we discuss treatment options

maintained low triplet pregnancy rates and low
cancellation rates, which have routinely stayed
below national averages.
